Read the model name as well as the diameter
An 18-inch crash, Holy Crash and Ozone are separate model choices, even when their diameters match. Keep the full product name in your shortlist so an effects model is not mistaken for a conventional crash. Likewise, confirm whether a hi-hat listing is for a pair and whether a photograph shows one product or several options from a series.
Use the listed Nimbus sizes to narrow your search
Both Nimbus Gerhana and Obsidian list conventional crashes in 16, 17, 18 and 19 inches, 14-inch hi-hat pairs, and splashes in 8, 10 and 12 inches. Gerhana lists 20- and 21-inch rides; Obsidian lists a 20-inch ride. The comparison table shows the additional Holy and Ozone options. These are catalogue entries, not confirmation that every size is in stock today.
Make one comparison at a time
If you are unsure which crash size to choose, begin with two diameters from the same series and repeat a familiar accent pattern. If you are choosing between series, start with the same role and diameter in each. Do not confuse a marching pair with a drum-kit hi-hat pair simply because both contain two cymbals.
