Questions before you start?
How much do lessons cost?+
Lessons cost RM180 per month. This includes one private 30-minute lesson each week.
Is there a registration fee?+
No. Soma Music does not charge a registration fee. A one-month deposit is required.
When are lessons available?+
Lesson sessions are available every day except Wednesday, between 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Contact us to check current openings.
Can a missed lesson be replaced?+
A replacement lesson is available when Soma Music receives at least 24 hours’ notice.
Where are lessons held?+
Classes take place at Soma Music, 2-20, Tingkat 2, Jalan Pandan Prima 2, Dataran Pandan Prima, Ampang, Kuala Lumpur.
Where are your drum classes in Malaysia held?+
All in-person drum classes are held at Soma Music in Dataran Pandan Prima, Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. Contact us to check current lesson slots before visiting.
Does a beginner need a drum kit at home?+
You can enquire before buying equipment. Soma Music can advise what is genuinely useful for starting and help you avoid an unsuitable purchase.
Are adult beginners welcome?+
Yes. The one-to-one format allows the lesson to match each student’s starting point and pace.
Are lessons only for music exams?+
No. The main goal is practical musicianship: listening, keeping time, understanding songs and responding to other musicians in real time. Exam preparation can be included when it suits the student, but it does not replace learning how to make music.
