Which cymbals should you buy?
Use these starting points to compare cymbals for sale at Soma Music. Product listings are a guide to the range, not a live stock feed. Ask us for a current quotation before ordering.
Crash cymbals
For accents, song transitions and bigger musical moments. Compare standard crashes with effects crashes, then choose a size that balances with your kit.
Ride cymbals
For steady patterns, stick definition and bell accents. Consider the balance between a clear stick sound and the wash underneath it.
Hi-hat cymbals
A core part of everyday grooves. Compare the closed sound, open response and foot chick of a matched hi-hat pair.
Splash cymbals
For short, contrasting accents without adding another full-size crash. Nimbus Gerhana and Obsidian listings include 8, 10 and 12-inch splash options.
China, stacks and effects cymbals
Add a contrasting voice to a setup you already know. Explore the Arborea AP range for China options, or compare stacks, Holy crashes and Ozone effects.
Cymbal sets for beginners
Start by comparing hi-hats, a crash and a ride against your total budget. Arborea series galleries include set options; confirm exact cymbals, sizes and package contents before ordering.
