Hampback ACE-320 vs ACE-360 Malaysia: specs and prices
At Soma Music, the Hampback ACE-320 is RM2,390 and the ACE-360 is RM3,150. The RM760 step up brings manufacturer-listed 10-inch tom pads instead of 8-inch toms, plus an individual hi-hat stand. Here is how to decide whether those differences matter for your practice in Malaysia.

ACE module tables list 918 voices, “50+20” drum kits and 15 songs. We retain the manufacturer’s kit-count notation rather than assigning unconfirmed preset/user categories. MK0 Pro remains Soma’s confirmed 12-kit version. A larger sound count alone does not establish better sound quality; compare response and layout in person.
Manufacturer specifications: Hampback ACE-320 · Hampback ACE-360. These are manufacturer-published specifications, not measurements from a Soma Music playing test. Soma confirmed the linked MK0 Pro version and throne exclusion on 15 October 2026. Unlisted specifications are not inferred.
What is different—and what is shared?
Hampback lists both kits with a 10-inch dual-zone snare, a 5-inch kick pad, 12-inch crash and ride pads, and 918 sounds. Larger tom pads and the independent hi-hat arrangement distinguish the ACE-360 in the manufacturer listings. A larger pad offers a larger target; it does not by itself establish better triggering or sound quality.
Choose the ACE-320 when the remaining budget matters more
The ACE-320 is the lower-priced ACE kit in our catalogue at RM2,390. If its pad spacing and hi-hat arrangement suit your technique, the RM760 difference can stay in your budget for lessons or other needs. Soma includes sticks, headphones and pedals with both kits. Ask separately about a throne and delivery or setup charges rather than assuming those are included.
Compare the ACE-360 for tom size and hi-hat technique
The manufacturer-listed 10-inch toms give larger playing targets than the ACE-320’s 8-inch toms. Its individual hi-hat stand is worth trying if developing foot control is a priority. Ask to test closed, open and foot-operated hi-hat sounds at a comfortable playing position; the specification alone cannot tell you how the response will feel.
Try the same short routine on both kits
Use the same headphones and a similar sound and volume setting so the comparison is fair. This is a suggested test, not a report of a test already conducted by Soma Music.
- Play soft single strokes, then gradual accents on snare and toms.
- Move between toms without reaching or striking neighbouring pads.
- Play an eighth-note groove with kick, snare and changing hi-hat openings.
- Check rack movement, pedal position and pad noise without headphones.
Try both kits and confirm your complete quote
Soma confirmed both models set up to try at our Ampang shop on 15 October 2026; contact us before travelling. Prices were confirmed on 5 October 2026. Both Hampback kits have a two-year warranty: contact Soma Music to submit a claim for assessment. Ask for the applicable coverage and exclusions in writing. Setup and assembly can be arranged by contacting us; charges, delivery area and timing must be quoted separately. Neither price promises that every item shown in a photograph is included.
Start with ACE-320 if its layout meets your needs and you want the lower price. Compare ACE-360 if larger tom targets and an individual hi-hat stand justify RM760 for your playing. Confirm the actual kit and package before ordering.
